The King Harbor Yacht Club's claim to fame during last weekend's 36th Annual Midwinter Regatta in Los Angeles Harbor came as Brooks Barnhill flew the local club burgee during his win in Pacific Handicap Class A.

The winning Barnhill yacht is an old beautiful R-C1ass boat christened "Pirate" and she beat out 19 boats.

Four local Thunderbirds, -~ by Bob Pottberg, saw their class trophy taken by San Diego's Robert Johnson. Small boat first places for King Harbor Yacht Club were in the Omega Class as Herb Chan placed first, Redondo-11 class with Bill White topping the eight entries, and in the Win'ard Sabot Class of 11 entries with Kathy Hubay placing first.

Light winds and long lines at the hoistiting area discouraged many entries.
